Who is Amanda K?
I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, spent years in various parts of the south for school and work, and have finally settled down in Boston. Travel and adventure are a part of my soul and I usually have something planned to look forward to. I love living in the city and enjoy sharing my apartment with my Siamese cat, Sushi. Since 2009 I've eaten a mostly vegan diet and while I love my veggies, sweets are my weakness. At different points in time I have been a runner, a weightlifter, a kickboxer, and an Insaniac. Now I seek strength, balance, endurance, and flexibility so I do a little bit of everything.
Office jobs are often necessary, but not always fun, so I took my passion for fitness to a professional level to get away from the desk. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and NASM Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist as well as an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Insanity Live Instructor. My training philosophy is that workouts should be fun, challenging, and ultimately functional. Life should get easier the more you train your body to move well and with added strength.
